Facebook Live counts 3.5 billion broadcasts in two years

Facebook launched its livestreaming function in February 2016, following in the wake of Periscope, the Twitter-owned live video streaming app that was popular at the time. First available only on Android and in the USA, the service was quickly and successfully rolled out to all of the network's users.
